Open comedones, also known as blackheads, are hair follicles or pores that have been clogged with a mixture of sebum and dead skin cells. When the sebum produced by the skin is exposed to oxygen, blackheads form. It oxidises and darkens, leaving a dark stain on the skin. These blackheads are non-inflammatory, mild dark ace lesions, and you should contact our OFY staff for blackhead removal as soon as possible.
